Restaurants in Kona that we recommend
For us great food is part of a great vacation. Here are some of our favorites that we go back to over and over!
Quinn’s Almost by the Sea - doesn’t look like much but their fish and chips and fish sandwiches are amazing. Get whatever the fresh catch is. Ask to sit outside in the little area in the back. Parking can be tricky…but this is definitely one of our two or three favorite spots!
Kona Inn - Just a great restaurant with great food and atmosphere. Hands down, our favorite!
Kona Brewing Company (click here for website) - Great beer, pizza and environment! We love it here.
Java on the Rocks - great place for breakfast to eat and read the paper by the ocean!
Jameson’s by the Sea - Good place for a nice dinner
Huggo’s - RIGHT on the water, so close that the only reason they are there is that they are grandfathered in. New buildings cannot build this close. Good place to get a drink and eat some food.
Tres Hombres - Mexican place where the service is almost always slow, but the food is good! Don’t go if you are an impatient diner or in a hurry! The fish tacos are great!
