 About The Island of Hawaii
Why did we choose Kona on the Island of Hawaii? The simple answer is, we just love it there. We have some great memories of the Island of Hawaii. It is probably the most relaxing place we have ever been. The food is amazing especially if you like fresh Hawaiian fish. The island is very diverse, the people are incredibly friendly and there are lots of fun things to do. There are not as many people on Hawaii as there are on some of the other islands like Oahu (Waikiki beach, Diamondhead, etc.) or on Maui, but it is larger than all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined. You don’t come here for the nightlife, you come here to relax, eat great food and enjoy the sun.
Where else can you visit one of the world’s most active volcanoes; Kilauea, (which has been erupting nonstop since 1983….don’t worry, the lava moves very slowly) visit lush rainforests, huge waterfalls, see snow covered mountains, fish for marlin, see black, white and green sands beaches, shop, eat amazing food and more? So it is all those things and just the great feeling that we get when we are there that made our decision easy to choose this as the place we want to get married.
